The Mikrotik TG-BT5-OUT is a heavy-duty, outdoor, bluetooth tag designed for use with the Mikrotik KNOT or other IoT asset-tracking setups. Thanks to the IP69k rating the TG-BT5-OUT is perfect for for proximity-based tracking of heavy equipment and materials at a construction site or other industrial environment. The TG-BT5-OUT is completely sealed against dust and high-pressure, high-temperature spray. By attaching these tags to the necessary items nearby IoT gateways will sense them when they move into range. The included 550mAh battery will last approximately 5 years with a reporting interval of once second.

The TG-BT5-In supports iBeacon, Eddystone, and Mikrotik telemetry and, once activated, will broadcast advertising packets to the gateway containing useful data such as acceleration, tilt, and battery level. This data can then be pushed to the remote server by the gateway using MQTT or HTTP protocols. Advertising packets are sent every 5 seconds on default settings but this can be configured to suit your specific needs. The built in accelerometers are capable of detecting movement as well as whether the device was dropped or tilted (free-fall detection). Unlike the TG-BT5-IN the TG-BT5-OUT also contains a temperature sensor for condition monitoring to within 0.5°C precision.
