The Mikrotik TG-BT5-IN is a sleek, indoor, bluetooth tag designed for use with the Mikrotik KNOT or other IoT asset-tracking setups. The TG-BT5-IN can be used for proximity-based tracking of various objects such as construction tools, electrical equipment, and other assets. By attaching these tags to the necessary items nearby IoT gateways will sense them when they move into range. The included 220mAh battery will last for years due to the exceptionally low power draw.

The TG-BT5-In supports iBeacon, Eddystone, and Mikrotik telemetry and, once activated, will broadcast advertising packets to the gateway containing useful data such as acceleration, tilt, and battery level. This data can then be pushed to the remote server by the gateway using MQTT or HTTP protocols. Advertising packets are sent every 5 seconds on default settings but this can be configured to suit your specific needs. The built in accelerometers are capable of detecting movement as well as whether the device was dropped or tilted (free-fall detection).
