TP-Link 8 Port Gigabit Desktop/Rackmount switch 8-Port PoE+ - TL-SG1008MP

The TL-SG1008MP by TP-Link is an 8 Port Gigabit Desktop/Rackmount switch with PoE+ functionality that can automatically detect and supply power to any IEEE 802.3af/at compliant devices with a total power budget of 153 W across the switch,  making it an ideal way to expand a wired network as well as transferring power and data to connected devices through a single Ethernet Cable.

With each port capable of providing up to 30 W, the TL-SG1008MP can also power high draw devices, such as Wireless Access Points and IP Cameras, all whilst utilising innovative energy-efficient technology to save power consumption and provide an eco-friendly solution for your business network.

The TL-SG1008MP offers a port priority function, with Port 1 being the highest priority and Port 8 being the lowest, also protects the switch from overloading by cutting the power from the lowest priority port to ensure the high priority devices remain on should the maximum 153 W budget get exceeded. For example, if 5 identical devices are connected to ports 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7 which all draw 27 W (total 135 W) and a sixth device is then connected to port 3 (now totalling 162 W), the device in port 3 would take priority and the power would be cut from port 7 to accommodate this.
