The UniFi Cloud Key Gen 2 Plus features the new UniFi Protect CCTV software, which is a plug-and-play solution for managing your cameras.

The Cloud Key Plus can be quickly connected and configured over Bluetooth using the UniFi mobile application.

For video storage, the UCK-G2-PLUS functions as an NVR and comes with a 1 TB HDD included, this is upgradeable up to 5 TB* for extra storage.

The UCK-G2-PLUS is built on more capable hardware than its predecessor meaning it can handle reporting from up to 200 units, a vast improvement over the previous UC-CK.

easy to use setup and manage. The recent update makes downloading (1 hour) recordings simple. I had used (free) alternatives, but regard this as money well spent. my only bugbear is that despite all devices being wired some of the cameras temporarily disconnect

At abut £20.00 more than the gen2 controller but with a 1Tb hard drive thrown in, well, it's got to be fantastic value for the money. Oh, by the way it performs superbly.

Great, robust, easy to use device - was looking for something to replace my PC-based unifi controller and video recording and was glad to see this be released. Easy to install, and move the configurations over. Very slick to use. The video software (Unifi Protect) isn't as developed and well featured/working as the old Unifi video software, but hope it gets there soon.

Very simple to set up, easily integrated into a home lab. Smaller than I expected, it runs warm to the touch with a slight noise in normal sequence operation. The internal drive looks straightforward to replace, but be aware there’s no QC2.0 USB-C adapter included, so you’ll need to procure one or use a PoE switch. Power consumption running UniFi protect with two camera feeds looks to be around 7W. Would definitely recommend to others over the previous generation cloud key, and over roll-your-own UniFi controllers.

Very decent upgrade to the previous CloudKey. Feels solid and well built. Front display is lovely. Battery backup Kees it running if there are temporary disconnects from the PoE port, which is great. Runs slightly warm due to the built in HDD which is easy to upgrade. Although it would greatly increase its size, I wish it would take 3.5” drives as the current 2.5 are limited to 5TB in size and will be less reliable. All in all a solid effort from Ubiquiti and I can’t wait for the rack mount accessory to be available!
