The wAP 60Gx3 AP is MikroTik's newest 60GHz spectrum access point. This new model comes with a completely new antenna array which can support much wider coverage angles and is optimised specifically for multi-point operation.

With the RBwAPG-60ad-SA it's possible to provide connectivity for up to eight 60 GHz client devices in a 180 degree field of view simultaneously, making it possible to build a low-cost point to multi-point setup in the 60 GHz wireless spectrum.

It is also possible to use the wAP 60Gx3 AP units in a point-to-point configuration over short distances.

Due to the range limits of 60GHz and the gain of the antenna such as the RBwAPG-60AD and RBSXTSQ-60AD, the maximum recommended distance for this is 200m. However, when setting up a point to point with the wAP 60Gx3 and some higher gain antennae such as the LHG Lite 60, this distance can go up to 800m.
