Mikrotik RouterBoard Gigabit Passive PoE Injector with Surge Protection - GESP+PoE-IN

The Mikrotik GESP+PoE-IN is a passive POE injector from the surge-protecting GESP product line. The GESP+PoE-IN is designed to be combined with the existing RBGESP to provide maximum security and peace of mind. A typical use case would see the RBGESP providing protection to antennas on a mast and the GESP+POE-IN below to power the antennas as well as protecting the switches from power surges. Mikrotik recommend connecting the grounding wire to a rackmount, mast, or any other structure connected to ground - this must be done in order to provide effective protection. To maximise the resilience of you network a surge protector can be use on both ends of a long cable run. Mikrotik expect GESP units to be able to absorb multiple surges, however it is recommended that the units be inspected after each surge.
