The TP-Link Omada SG5452X is a high-performance, stackable Layer-3 managed switch designed for demanding enterprise, campus, and service-provider networks. With 48 gigabit RJ45 ports and 4 10 Gbps SFP+ uplink slots, it delivers a switching capacity of up to 176 Gbps to power high-density access layer deployments.
Built to scale, the SG5452X supports physical stacking of up to four units, enabling redundancy and expanded bandwidth while simplifying management. Advanced Layer-3 features such as static routing, RIP, OSPF, and DHCP server/relay give this switch the versatility to handle routing tasks that traditionally belong to higher-end network equipment.
On the security front, it incorporates ACL (IPv4/IPv6), port security, 802.1X authentication, Dynamic ARP Inspection and DoS defence, making it well suited for networks where controlled access and threat mitigation are important. It also supports ERPS (Ethernet Ring Protection Switching) for rapid fault recovery in ring topologies, bolstering uptime for critical installations.
Management is flexible and centralised, the SG5452X integrates with the Omada SDN platform for cloud-based or on-premises control, zero-touch provisioning, and seamless monitoring across devices, while also supporting local web GUI, CLI, SNMP and RMON. The unit is fanless, rack-mountable (440 × 220 × 44 mm) and draws around 34 W at full load—efficient for its class.
