Ubiquiti airMAX NanoStation M5 PTP Kit (up to 1Km) - NSM5-Kit

The Ubiquiti airMAX NanoStation NSM5-Kit consists of a pair of NanoStations in order to give network access to close by building or services that would other wise be unable to receive a wired connection such as Garden offices, barns or even office to office links.

The NanoStations are designed to be mounted with direct line of sight which means no objects such as trees, fences or telephone poles can be in the path of the 2 points of the link. By ensuring direct line of sight you will get the best quality link possible. The NanoStations are rated from Ubiquiti for up 15Km but this is the maximum with perfect conditions using the maximum power available.

In the UK, the power we can use is limited and therefore we would recommend the the NanoStations for use with links under 1km with direct line of site. If you need a longer link then why not check out our NanoBeam Link Kit, the Ubiquiti NanoBeam has a much narrower beam width which allows more stable links at longer distances.

The NanoStations are weather proof and designed to be mounted to the outside of a building. For external mounting we recommend the Ubiquiti Universal Arm Bracket which can be selected as an option for this kit. For internal mounting on windows and walls we have the Ubiquiti Window/Wall Mounting Kit for NanoStation which is also available as an option above.

For a small charge we can also set up the NanoStation link for you (option above) so all you have to do is plug and play (the link will be set to pass all traffic from your router meaning no extra configuration needed) or if you want to configure the link yourself then check out our HowTo for a helpful setup Guide.

Please note the NanoStations do not come with Ethernet cables as standard, you will require 2 per NanoStation. One to plug from the POE injector to your router/switch and the other to go from the POE Injector to the NanoStation.
