The Course
The UniFi Full Stack Professional (UFSP) will give students an overview of some of Ubiquiti's cloud gateway devices and go through the "full stack" of software applications (Network, Protect, Access, Talk and Identity) available to technical professionals, including topics such as UniFi Site Manager (free hybrid cloud), UniFi Cloud Gateways, and physical security solutions through UniFi Protect and UniFi Access.
Using Cloud Gateway devices, students train on the UniFi “full stack” of software applications available to technical professionals seeking future-proof enterprise solutions in the dynamically changing IT world.
Course Focus & Lab Expectations
Please note: The UFSP is a single-day foundational overview course designed to introduce you to the broad UniFi ecosystem.
Because of this broad scope, the majority of our hands-on lab time is dedicated to physical security (UniFi Protect and UniFi Access), which does not get the attention in the other courses.
Whilst we will introduce the networking side of UniFi's full stack offering, this is purposely kept at a high level and only covers some of the basics in order to get the most out of the labs we perform during the day using door entry systems and CCTV cameras.
If your primary goal is to dive deep into UniFi network configuration and deployment, we recommend looking at the Ubiquiti Wireless Admin (UWA) and Ubiquiti Routing, Switching and Cyber Security Admin (URSCA) courses, which cover these aspects in much greater detail.

- Site Manager
- Site Admins
- UniFi Application Suite
- Access Physical Security (Includes hands on lab work)
- Protect Video Surveillance / CCTV (Includes hands on lab work)
- Protect Zones Detection and Automation
- Access Control Systems
The Training Team
The UFSP training courses are being delivered by Jono Thompson. Jono has 24 years of experience working on routing, switching and wireless in enterprise networks.
Intended Target Audience
This course is aimed at support technicians, system integrators, installers and other technical professionals/users who already use or would like to start using Ubiquiti UniFi products, particularly the UniFi Protect and UniFi Access offerings, in their projects.
Student Prerequisites
- A working laptop with WiFi and Ethernet ports and the ability to gain Administrative access rights to the operating system.
- A mobile device running Android or iOS
- Previous experience with the UniFi Site Manager Network Application is beneficial
- If the student wishes to take the USFP examination, then a photo ID will be required to prove their identity before taking the exam. Acceptable types of ID are equal to those required for City and Guilds exams.
Timetable
1st Day: 09:00 - 17:00
15 minute breaks: 10:30 and 15:00
30 minute lunch break: 12:30
An optional UFSP exam at the end of the course, which runs for 40 mins.
