The Ubiquiti UISP airFiber 60 HD Radio (AF60-HD) is a high-performance, multi-gigabit 60 GHz bridge with SFP+ support, designed for a 2 km link range. This device boasts a maximum throughput of 6 Gbps and includes both a Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) and a 10G SFP+ port. Key features include a precision alignment mount and integrated GPS for enhanced performance and accuracy.
The airFiber 60 HD is built with a durable aluminum alloy and UV stabilized plastic enclosure, featuring a stainless steel mount for stability. It supports a passive PoE power method and includes a gigabit PoE adapter. The device operates within a -40 to 55° C temperature range and is IPX6 weatherproofed.
The AF60-HD operates in PtP mode only and offers services like UISP, ping watchdog, and SSH server. The device supports a range of wireless settings, including GPS sync, and can be managed easily via a Bluetooth interface using the UISP app.
Technically, the AF60-HD operates within the 57–66 GHz frequency range, with a channel bandwidth of 2160 MHz or 4320 MHz when channel bonding is enabled. Its RF capabilities include vertically linear polarization and a beamwidth of 3° in both azimuth and elevation.
All UK installations after 12th May 2021 must be covered by a Spectrum Access EHF licence. Existing installations installed before this date will require a Spectrum Access EHF licence from November 30th 2021.
