Ubiquiti UniFi Full Stack Professional and UniFi Wireless Admin (UFSP + UWA) - Sheffield AMP

The Courses

The UniFi Full Stack Professional (UFSP) will see students use some of Ubiquiti's cloud gateway devices to learn about the "full stack" of software applications (Network, Protect, Access, Talk and Identity) available to technical professionals. UFSP is a half-day introductory course that is intended to precede and compliment other training courses on the UniFi Platform such as the UniFi Wireless Admin (UWA) course also included in this package.

The subjects covered within the UFSP course are:

• Site Manager
• Site Admins
• Cloud Gateways
• Site Magic SD-WAN
• UniFi Protect
• UniFi Access
• UniFi Talk
• UniFi Identity

The UniFi Wireless Admin (UWA) course is a hands-on, 1 and a half day course providing both the background of foundational theoretical wireless knowledge with specific reference to use of 2.4 and 5GHz wireless devices both indoors and outdoors, with hands-on experience of building a 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax wireless communications system using Ubiquiti UniFi equipment. This course is designed to prepare professionals to meet the challenges faced by today's enterprise networks through hands-on lab activities using UniFi AP's and also the NanoBeam AirMax radios, ideal for bridging connections between buildings. On successful completion of the course each student receives a free  official "Ubiquiti" T Shirt and after achieving a pass in the examination (pass mark is 65%), the student will also receive a certificate.

• Intro to UniFi WLANs
• RF Fundamentals
• 802.11 Networking
• WLAN Planning and Design
• WLAN Deployment
• WLAN Troubleshooting

The Trainer
The UFSP and UWA training courses are being delivered by Jono Thompson. Jono has 21 years of experience working on routing, switching and wireless in enterprise networks.

Intended Target Audience:
This course is aimed at Support technicians, system integrators, installers and other technical professionals/users who already use or would like to start using Ubiquiti UniFi products for delivering wireless based network connectivity. Particularly the UniFi Network Range of Access Points, switches and accessories.

Student Prerequisites:

• An understanding of TCPIP and the difference between a Layer2 and a Layer3 network
• A working laptop with WiFi and Ethernet ports and the ability to gain Administrative access rights to the operating system.
• If the student is wishing to take the UWA examination, then Photo ID will be required to prove their identity before taking the exam. Acceptable types of ID are equal to that required for City and Guilds exams.

Timetable
1st Day: 09:00 - 17:00
2nd Day: 09:00 - 17:00
15 minute Breaks: 10:30 and 15:00
30 min Lunch: 12:30

At the end of the last day there is an optional exam which runs for 1 hour.
