UISP Broadband Wireless Admin (UBWA) Training Course
The Course:
The Ubiquiti Broadband Wireless Admin Course is a comprehensive hands-on two-day training course which dives deep into essential concepts of Wireless Broadband delivery using outdoor wireless networking, with special emphasis on how to design, build, manage and troubleshoot outdoor wireless networks.
The course starts by covering Ubiquiti Broadband Wireless specialist (UBWS) which gives an introduction to Ubiquiti’s powerful wireless products and covers best practices in outdoor wireless networking.
The course is taught using airOS version 8 and airMAX ac equipment in an instructor lead classroom.

The Trainer
The UBWA training course is being delivered by Jono Thompson and Ron Touw. Jono has 21 years of experience working on routing, switching and wireless in enterprise networks. Ron Touw's experience comes from over 40 years of wireless background working for the UK Government, including Ofcom.
Intended Target Audience:
This course is aimed at Support technicians, system integrators, installers and other technical professionals/users who already use or would like to start using Ubquiti UISP wireless system for delivering wireless based network connectivity.
Student Prerequisites:
- An understanding of TCP/IP and the difference between a Layer2 and a Layer3 network
- An understanding of IPv4 Subnetting
- An understanding of the OSI Model
- A working laptop with WiFi and Ethernet ports, and the ability to gain Administrative access rights to the operating system.
- If the student is wishing to take the UBWS and UBWA examination, then *Photo ID will be required to prove their identity before taking the exam.
- Previous experience of the Ubiquiti airOS is beneficial
*Acceptable types of ID are equal to that required for City and Guilds exams.
Timetable
1st Day: 09:00 - 17:00
2nd Day: 09:00 - 17:00
15 minute Breaks: 10:30 and 15:00
30 min Lunch: 12:30
Optional UBWA exam at the end of day 2 which runs for 1 hour.
Optional UBWS exam which runs for 1 hour
